When the walls fall down
When one falls, we all go down. We all follow suit, dominoes in spades, comforting each other on the way down, tumbling in slow motion down the rabbit hole. Pull the blanket up tight, cover each other in nicetys and encouragement, turn our backs and hypocritically do what we just cheerleaded her not to do. Who are we to give advice, all being in the same holey boat, all drowning in the same sea. I guess it is better to go down holding on to each other than to sink by ourselves, even if we have to lie to do it. But then we anchor to each other, hook on to lend support and the one who is almost free, who is almost out, gets dragged back down by the one who just hit bottom.
